this is a subtitle
Julie and Len have more than 30 years experience in the building industry. Originally a husband and wife partnership, the business grew and now employs more than 25 workers and subcontractors.
Over the years, Grand Kitchens has completed large commercial contracts for Western Mining (Roxby Downs) BHP, aged care homes and retirement villages.
1997 Commenced Trading
Julen Pty Ltd commenced trading as Grand Kitchens, manufacturing kitchens, vanities and linens.
The name Julen is a combination of Len and Julie, the founders of Julen Pty Ltd, while Grand Kitchens’ name originated from its location on Grand Junction Road.
2002 Relocation
The company moved from Grand Junction Road, Wingfield, to its present location of Frederick Road, Royal Park.
In this larger premise, the company was able to expand and operate to a full capacity. It serves both reputable builders and the private sector.
2004 A Family Loss
The Grand family suffered the loss of its son and future leader. Lee, the eldest child of Julie and Len, met his untimely death in a motor vehicle crash.
A trademark (logo) was registered in memory of Lee, and the company added a new name of Le Grande Kitchens; Le Grande meaning great kitchens.
Whilst Grand Kitchens is still the corporate name of the business, Le Grande Kitchens is also used in memory of Lee, and hence, he has become the face of the company.
